Who are the Existential Analysis Trainers?


Alfried Längle, MD, PhD, TRAINER

Dr. Längle studied medicine and psychology at the Universities of Innsbruck, Rome, Toulouse and Vienna. After years of hospital work in general medicine and psychiatry, he started a private practice in psychotherapy, general medicine and clinical psychology in Vienna (since 1982). At the same time he began his close collaboration with Viktor Frankl (1983-1991). He is the founder and president (since 1983) of the International Society for Logotherapy and Existential Analysis (Vienna). Dr. Längle is a constant lecturer at the Universities of Vienna (since 1984), Innsbruck (1994), Moscow (2000), Buenos Aires (2000) and Mendoza (2000).

Daniel Trobisch, PhD, TRAINER


Dr. Trobisch studied Psychology and Philosophy at the University of Salzburg (Austria) and did his clinical training in Basel (Switzerland). Besides being in private practice in Salzburg, Dr. Trobisch has been working as a company psychologist for the last 20 years. He has been teaching seminars and lecturing in German speaking Europe and the United States.

DERRICK KLAASSEN, PhD, CCC

TRAINING COORDINATOR


Derrick Klaassen is an Assistant Professor in Counselling Psychology at Trinity Western University. He teaches courses in psychopathology and ethics. He also supervises counselling practicum students in their first clinical placement. He has nearly completed his clinical training in Existential Analysis, and is a member of the Board of Directors for the Existential Analysis Society of Canada. Derrick maintains an active rehabilitation counselling practice, in which he works with individuals, couples and families who are recovering from serious illnesses (e.g., heart attacks, strokes, etc.) and motor vehicle accidents. His research and clinical interests include bereavement/grief, spirituality and health.
